The world-famous High Times Cannabis Cup is coming to Denver. This is their second American Cannabis Cup–the event usually takes place in Amsterdam every November. However, with medical marijuana on the rise here in the States, High Times has decided to bring their new Medical Cannabis Cup to California and, now, to Colorado.

The event will be held next Saturday and Sunday (April 2 and 3) at the Exdo Event Center. Like the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, the Medical Cannabis Cup will give awards to marijuana strains in various categories. However, because of the legality issues, the testing will be done by a panel of judges. They will examine local strains found at dispensaries around Colorado and patients will be given a list if they’d like to sample the strains for themselves.

In addition to the main event, the Cup will also feature panels on business and law and on the medical value of marijuana. Vendors will also be on the scene to promote strains, glassware, and other merchandise. For an additional fee, “VIP” attendees will be allowed into Saturday night’s special event with musical guest Kid Cudi.

A standard two-day pass is $50 while a “VIP” pass is $100. Both get you total access to the main event plus a Medical Cannabis Cup gift bag. The event starts on Saturday at noon and ends Sunday at 9 pm.
